There are times in life when we feel empty and life loses meaning. We are focused on meeting one goal after another and completing one task after another. This is like taking a walk in a beautiful garden and thinking, “I need to get to the lake, and then the pagoda, and then the swing and then the sculpture…” And it gets to a point where you go, “This garden sucks, I don’t know why I am doing this, there is no point, it’s meaningless, why bother.” You are so focused on getting from this point, to the next and to the next, that you do not take the time to see the grass, the flowers, the trees and the sky. Life loses its flavour when you rush through the meal. Take time to enjoy the journey.
