The Timi Book Series
A picture book series that teaches kids cognitive behavioral concepts and strategies for handling difficult thoughts and emotions.

Timi is a fretful and easily unnerved young cat, who is afraid of many things, including balloons, butterflies and even bananas! His loving parents Tom and Felicity are very concerned about him. When he meets the Guru, he learns to understand his thoughts and feelings, solve problems and overcome his fears and challenges.
The Story
In Timi Learns about Fear, he meets the quirky, PMD-riding Guru who explains (in rhymes no less!) the nature of fear and helps Timi understand why he responds the way he does. Timi is taught to identify his feelings and to use actions and coping statements to manage his emotions. Learn more

In the second book Timi Meets Madam Bibik, Timi encounters the Guru's feisty landlady and is afraid of her. The Guru teaches Timi to deal with his panic symptoms and to use visualisation techniques to manage scary experiences. Timi also learns that changing his way of looking at things can help him feel differently about a situation. Learn more

In the third book Timi Goes to School, Timi has to figure out how to respond to various social situations in school. The story illustrates how to engage in helpful self-talk and takes us through the problem-solving process when faced with making difficult decisions.
